Terms & Conditions

Last updated · 9 July 2026

These terms set out the deal between you and Arooba: what you can expect from us, and the few things we ask of you in return. We have kept them as plain as we can.

01This agreement

These Terms & Conditions are an agreement between you and Arooba (Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt) for your use of Arooba — the website, apps, and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

If you are under 18, you may only use Arooba with a parent’s or guardian’s permission, and by using it you confirm you have that permission. A parent or guardian who lets a child use Arooba agrees to these terms on the child’s behalf.

02Your account

  • You can explore Arooba without an account; your progress is kept on your device and merges into your account if you sign up later.
  • When you create an account, give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us promptly at hello@arooba.cc if you think it has been used without your permission.
  • An account is for one person and is not to be shared.

03What Arooba is — and isn’t

Arooba helps you revise and shows an honest predicted grade, always with its working. That prediction is an estimate based on what you have done so far — it is not a promise or guarantee of any exam result.

Arooba is aligned to Cambridge IGCSE syllabuses but is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Cambridge Assessment (or Cambridge University Press & Assessment). “IGCSE” and “Cambridge” are used only to describe the syllabuses Arooba supports.

Arooba is a study aid. It does not replace your school, your teachers, or the official Cambridge materials and results.

04XP, coins, and rewards

Arooba rewards effort. Here is how that works, and its limits:

  • XP and coins are earned by learning and can never be bought. They are a motivational feature with no monetary value: they cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred, or sold.
  • Real-world rewards, when available, are funded by sponsors, a parent, or a school — not purchased from Arooba. Availability, eligibility, and how a reward is fulfilled can change, and each reward may have its own terms set by whoever provides it.
  • We are not responsible for goods or services provided by a third-party reward provider.
  • We may adjust XP or coin balances to correct a genuine error, or to address fraud or abuse of the Service.

Arooba does not currently charge for access. If that ever changes, we will set out any pricing clearly and ask for your agreement before it applies.

05Acceptable use

To keep Arooba fair and safe, you agree not to:

  • Use bots, scripts, or automation to earn XP, coins, or rewards, or to scrape the Service.
  • Share, sell, or transfer your account, or pretend to be someone else.
  • Try to break, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
  • Misuse another student’s data, or any parent, teacher, or tutor view.
  • Upload or submit anything unlawful, harmful, or that infringes someone else’s rights.

06Intellectual property

The Service — including its lessons, questions, artwork, software, and design — belongs to Arooba or its licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own learning. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute our content without our permission.

Cambridge syllabus references and any third-party marks remain the property of their owners.

07Content you submit

When you submit answers, notes, or other content to the Service, you keep any rights you have in it, and you grant us the permission we need to store and process it in order to run Arooba for you (for example, to grade an answer and update your mastery). You are responsible for what you submit and confirm you are allowed to submit it.

08Third-party services

The Service uses third parties (for example, Google sign-in and our hosting providers) and may link to sponsors or other sites. Their own terms and privacy policies govern your use of them, and we are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

09Changes and availability

Arooba is evolving. We may add, change, or remove features, and some may be experimental. Content is updated as syllabuses and best evidence change. We aim to keep the Service running well but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.

10Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. In particular, predicted grades and other estimates are for guidance only and do not guarantee any academic outcome. Arooba is not a substitute for professional or academic advice.

11Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arooba will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on a predicted grade or other estimate. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law. Because Arooba is provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited to the greatest extent the law allows.

12Suspension and ending your account

You can stop using Arooba and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or misuse the Service. If we do, we will act proportionately and, where we can, tell you why.

13Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and any dispute will be subject to the courts of the Arab Republic of Egypt, unless the law that protects you as a consumer or minor gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

14Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Arooba after a change means you accept the updated terms.
